Please tell us something about the movie?
Sunny : YPD2 is sequel of Yamla Pagla Deewana. Since the last movie did so well, we thought of carrying it forward with a new story with same star cast. This movie caters to comedy genre, and it’s a full family entertainment movie. The film has drama, emotions and comedy which will keep audience spellbound till the end of the movie.
How is it different from YPD 1?
Sunny : YPD story was based on background of Banaras. But YPD2 has gone 1 step ahead and Yamla (Dharmendra ji) & Gajodhar (Bobby Deol) are all set to con in Britain. The movie is shot in beautiful locations of U.K., and has comedy element has increased by presence of an Orangutan who is our co-star.
Orangutan? Where has he come from?
Sunny : Ya, he is a well trained Orangutan. He has an important role in the movie. We have sourced him from U.K.
When is the movie releasing.
Sunny : Its hitting the theatre on 7th June.
Why there was a requirement of trailer launch.
Sunny : See, there is lots of competition in competition right now. Whatever you do, you need that to promote in order to make it seen or heard. So, we decided that we will do a preview of the trailer and later on music launch will take place.
We have heard that your son has worked with you in the movie.
Sunny : My elder son Karan has worked as Asst.Director in the movie. He has turned 21 now, so we thought that he should learn things about movie making. He has enjoyed assisting the Director Sangeeth Shivan thoroughly.
So, when are you planning to Launch Karan?
Sunny : See, he is just 21 now, very young. As I said, I want him to learn things,then in next 3-4 years, I will plan to launch his acting career.
Is he interested?
Sunny : Yes,he is. He is grooming himself.
What is your take on 100 Crore club.your contemporary actors have crossed this mark many a times.
Sunny : See, I am not part of that ‘rat race’.everyday I pick up newspaper, I find 100 crore club and feel so disappointed about it. Good work should prevail. I remember when I did ‘Gadar-Ek Prem Katha’, then it did business in such volume that if you calculate in today’s scenario, it will topple 100 crores by manifolds. I am not a party to it. I believe in good work.
Since the market of sequel is up, shall we expect Ghayal and Damini’s sequels as well?
Sunny : I think so. Ghayal 2 is already on scripting stage. For Damini, it was a very sensitive movie. It needs lots of brainstorming before being made. But if such an offer comes, I will deifinitely love to do it.

Sunny : Mohalla Assi, I Love New Year with Kangna Ranaut, Singh Sahab with director Anil Sharma.

Sunny : Eat healthy, drink healthy, workout to the fullest.

Sunny : Simple T-shirt & jeans. To make it formal I wear a coat over it.(winks)
